There's definitely overlap in these areas conceptually, in that there are certain physiological processes that occur only or primarily during rest. And so there are consequences when we don't allow enough time for them - impaired consolidation of memories in the case of cognition, potential heightened cancer risk and other kinds of physiological deterioration in the case of inadequate time for autophagy.

I was thinking of autophagy, where after a period of time your body goes into cell-cleanup mode.
