I heard Tommy’s episode with Andy Galpin on this topic and my question is how do you find a doctor who understands generic snps specifically with regards to COMT status and high homocysteine? I am a 57 year old very active woman with two copies of APO(e)4, high homocysteine despite various supplement regimes and I am compound homozygous for COMT and MTHFR 1298 (not 677). It’s been a puzzle. I feel like I am doing everything right to delay Alz onset but I can’t get that homocysteine down. The lowest it’s ever been is 13. And it’s been as high as 20.
